Right before 2016 came to a close, there were reports of a new smartphone model released by ZTE in China. But what made this smartphone so special was that it came with a dual-camera setup at a mid-range price. Coincidentally, this is also the first device ZTE will be equipping with a dual-camera setup.

The ZTE Blade V8 was initially spotted at the TENAA, the regulatory commission for smartphones manufactured in China. It is said to be among the devices the smartphone manufacturer plans to introduce at CES this year, but this is not the only smartphone ZTE is rumored to release at the tradeshow in Las Vegas. There are rumors pointing to the introduction of the Blade V8 Pro, a successor of the Blade V8 model.

If the leaked information proves to be true, we could be seeing a mid-range smartphone behind the Blade V8 Pro. The leak also includes details on how powerful the Blade V8 Pro could be. There are rumors that the device will run on a 2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The device is also said to have dimensions of 155.96 x 76.96 x 9.14mm and will weigh 185 grams, with its battery included. As for the display, the device will have a 5.5-inch fullHD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution and protection by Corning, you can expect to see the company’s Gorilla Glass 3 overlay. Camera-wise, the Blade V8 Pro could be equipped with a dual-camera setup of two 13-megapixel rear-facing cameras and a dual-LED flash. In front, a secondary camera will be available with an 8-megapixel resolution. Out of its box, the device will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will have a 3,140mAh battery, and also 4G LTE support.

Based on the leak, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro will be launching in the U.S. with a price of $230 upfront. Since the device will also be available in Europe, it could have a slightly higher price tag than the American market. Now that CES 2017 is here, we can expect more confirmed details about the Blade V8 Pro in the coming days.
