The much-awaited Nokia 8 has been listed for pre-order on Chinese e-commerce site, JD.com. While the device has been rumored often in recent times and is expected to launch fairly soon, there is some confusion about the genuineness of the listing, given that the images provided by the third-party seller look almost identical to the concept renders that were recently released by YouTuber Concept Creator, which happens to be a freelance design studio with no known relation with either Nokia or HMD Global. The listing page also doesn’t mention any estimate time of arrival (ETA) for the upcoming Nokia flagship, although it does mention a price-tag of 3,188 Yuan ($463).

While the Nokia 8 has been rumored fairly often in the recent past, its exact hardware specifications are not yet in public domain. According to latest rumors, the upcoming device will feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display although, earlier reports had suggested a 5.5-inch panel. The device will apparently be powered by either a Snapdragon 835 or a Snapdragon 821 SoC, and will come with 6GB of RAM. The phone will reportedly be offered in two different storage configurations – 64GB and 128GB. Rumors have also suggested that the device support a USB Type-C connector as well as a 3.5mm audio jack, although there’s no concrete info on that front as yet.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 8 is expected to sport a 24-megapixel camera with OIS and Super EIS. As for the front-facing selfie-cam, the upcoming device is expected to have a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor, which should certainly make for some decent selfies in good lighting conditions. Rumors have also suggested that the Nokia 8 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which is certainly good news for potential buyers of the much-awaited smartphone. It is worth noting here that even though the Nokia 8 promises to be the first-ever premium Nokia-branded Android smartphone, it certainly won’t be the first Android handset from the famed Finnish brand this year. That’s because last month, HMD had launched the Nokia 6 mid-ranger, which garnered over a million registrations and sold out within the first sixty seconds during its first flash sales in China.
