T-Mobile confirmed it will start retailing the LG G6 this spring. The third largest wireless carrier in the United States shared this information on Sunday, moments after the South Korean tech giant unveiled the LG G6 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This latest turn of developments saw T-Mobile become the first U.S. carrier that confirmed it will be selling LG’s latest and greatest flagship. The Bellevue, Washington-based company didn’t reveal a firm release date or pricing details regarding the LG G6, but more details on the matter will hopefully be available shortly.

The LG G6 is equipped with a 5.7-inch QHD display panel that’s similar to the one featured on the LG G5, except it’s larger and has an unconventional aspect ratio of 18:9. As the company confirmed earlier today in Barcelona, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 system-on-chip (SoC) and 4GB of RAM. The South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer confirmed that the U.S. will be getting the 32GB variant of the LG G6, while the 64GB model will be available in some other markets that are yet to be specified. Regardless, the internal storage of the device can be expanded via its microSD card slot. The LG G6 is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology, meaning the device can be powered by 50 percent in approximately 35 minutes. On the imaging side of things, the smartphone ships with a dual camera setup consisting of two Sony IMX258 sensors. The 13-megapixel cameras differ a bit in terms of angles they’re able to capture as the LG G6 features both a 125-degree lens and a 70-degree one. On the front, the device boasts a 5-megapixel camera with a 100-degree lens. LG’s latest Android flagship also features IP68 certification as it’s resistant to dust particles and can survive being submerged in up to 1.5 meters or five feet of water for 30 minutes. Finally, the device is equipped with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It remains to be seen when exactly the LG G6 will be available for purchase from T-Mobile but the Un-carrier is bound to share more information on the matter in the coming weeks. In the meantime, LG will certainly be launching a large scale marketing campaign promoting its latest Android flagship.
