Samsung has announced the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus today, and along with the two devices, the company shared some availability details. Now, for those of you who are interested in purchasing these two smartphones, you should know that both of them will go on sale on April 21st, and that they will launch simultaneously in a number of  countries, though Samsung did not share more details just yet. Having that in mind, you’ll also be able to pre-order these two phones starting on March 30th, though do keep in mind that the pre-order date only applies to the US, it was not mentioned in Samsung’s global press release. Speaking of the US, the devices will be available from AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Straight Talk Wireless, and Cricket Wireless on April 21, while the phone will also be available for purchase over at Best Buy, Target, Walmart and through ShopSamsung app. Also, it’s wroth nothing that pre-order times will vary from carrier to carrier, or in other words, from market to market. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are coming in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold.

Now, the pricing of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will also vary from market to market, so you’ll just have to wait in order for the devices to become available in your region. That being said, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus handsets are exactly what we’ve expected, as the leaks were spot on. These two phones are made out of metal and glass, and they look really nice, as they sport really thin bezels, and thus offer a truly immersive experience. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and on top of it, you’re getting the latest version of Samsung custom UI. These two smartphones are identical in terms of the design, though the Galaxy S8 Plus is larger smartphone, that’s for sure, as it sports a larger display, and a larger battery because of it.

The Galaxy S8 sports a 5.8-inch 2960 x 1440 Super AMOLED display, which is curved on the sides, and the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with that very same display, but it’s somewhat larger at 6.2 inches. Both devices pack in 4GB of RAM, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top. The Galaxy S8 sports a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a 3,500mAh battery pack. Two processors are in charge of fueling the Galaxy S8 flagships, though their availability is market dependent, so, for example, those of you who live in the US will probably get the Snapdragon 835 SoC (probably, not confirmed yet), while the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus for European customers will probably ship with the Exynos 8895. That’s more or less it, as soon as we get some more info, we’ll let you know.
