Just ahead of the expected unveiling of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, a new report suggests the two upcoming devices will be launched in Orchid Gray (Grayish Purple), Coral Blue, Arctic Silver and Midnight Black colors. While various leaks have already painted a pretty vivid picture of Samsung’s upcoming flagship in terms of its hardware and software specifications, this is the first time we’re hearing about the actual names of the colors that the handsets will be available in. It is important, however, to remember that these are still rumored, and we’ll still have to wait for the impending launch to get an official confirmation about any of the reports about the devices’ hardware specs and software features.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to be unveiled at a special ‘Unpacked’ event in New York City on March 29. While Samsung has yet to say anything officially about it, the devices are expected to go on sale from next month, according to reports in the media. The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are both expected to be made out of metal and sport premium hardware. While the smartphones have long been rumored to sport iris scanners in addition to fingerprint sensors, a relatively-recent report suggested that the duo might also have some sort of a facial recognition technology built into them. Interestingly, Apple is also rumored to be working on a similar feature that some believe could make its debut in the iPhone 8 that’s expected to be launched later this year.

Taking a quick look at the rumored tech specs of the upcoming Samsung flagships, the devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 or the Exynos 8895 depending on the market. While the Galaxy S8 is believed to ship with a 5.8-inch curved Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S8 Plus is actually expected to have an even larger 6.2-inch screen with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The devices have also been confirmed to have Samsung’s own voice-based personal digital assistant called ‘Bixby’, which is expected to compete with Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa and Microsoft Cortana.
