If a new rumor is to be believed, the Snapdragon 835-powered Sony Xperia XZ Premium will become available on May 7. As most of you know probably already know, the Xperia XZ Premium is the most powerful smartphone Sony introduced during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona which ended quite recently. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, and interestingly enough, Qualcomm’s exec confirmed that this will be the first Snapdragon 835-powered handset to become available out in the market, which means it will trump the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, which very few people expected.
Now, if the latest media renders are to be believed, the device could become available on May 7. If you take a look at the provided image above, you’ll get to see the Sony Xperia XZ Premium in an official render, nothing that interesting here, right? Well, not exactly, take a look at the date on its display, it says Sunday, May 7, which could indicate the date this phone become available, according to reports. This render was actually spotted on Clove’s website, which is a well-known electronics retailer. The device is actually listed on Clove’s official website for a pre-order, and it costs £645, while it is available in Deepsea Black color only. We’re still not entirely sure how much will the device cost once it becomes officially available, as retailers such as Clove tend to sell unlocked phones, but their price is usually somewhat higher than it is when you buy it through official channels.
