AT&T is set to launch the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus on March 16 from $790, which will be the cost of the Galaxy S9, while the Galaxy S9 Plus will be quite a bit more for a retail cost of $915. As to exact pricing, AT&T will be offering both phones on the AT&T Next program where the devices can be broken up over monthly bill payments, which amounts to $26.34 a month over 30 months for the Galaxy S9, which comes to $790.20, and $30.50 a month over 30 months for the Galaxy S9 Plus which comes to $915. While the launch of the phone will happen on March 16, the pre-orders will begin on March 2, so interested consumers of the two phones will have a couple of weeks to place their orders for either phone before they hit retail store shelves across the country. That said, pre-orders will likely end up showing up on people’s doorsteps before March 16 as they tend to every year, though it’s not a guarantee that phones will be shipped out early to those who buy early.
When launched AT&T will be carrying the Lilac Purple, the Coral Blue, and the Midnight Black colors, but not the Titanium Gray as only the other three colors will be coming to the U.S., which means for the time being U.S. consumers will be left out of getting this color variation unless they try to import it.
The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor for the U.S. models regardless of carrier, and will feature things like a 12-megapixel variable aperture rear-facing camera (the Galaxy S9 Plus will have a secondary 12-megapixel camera sensor), an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chat, and both devices will come with 64GB of storage inside with support for expandable storage up to 400GB if need be. Both phones will be water and dust resistant, come with Dolby Atmos support and bundled AKG earphones, USB Type-C ports, and Samsung’s proprietary fast charging technology. Though both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will come with the same 64GB of internal storage, the Galaxy S9 will only come with 4GB of RAM while the Galaxy S9 Plus model will be bumped up to 6GB of RAM.
