The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus come to Verizon Wireless on March 16, which is just a few short weeks away. Samsung officially announced the two new phones, its latest flagships, at its Galaxy Unpacked press conference today during Mobile World Congress, showcasing the latest and greatest that it has to offer and which will very likely be two of the most popular if not the most popular devices of the year. While the launch will happen on March 16, the pre-orders will begin two weeks earlier as consumers and Verizon subscribers will be able to place their orders for phones on March 2.

When the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus launch, Verizon will be selling the Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black color options, while the Titanium Gray will be a color that won’t be coming to U.S. consumers, at least not right away as Samsung could always choose to expand the release to include the U.S. in the future. For now though, the three above-mentioned colors will be what Verizon and other carriers have available. In regards to price, Verizon will be selling the Galaxy S9 for $799.99 and the Galaxy S9 Plus for $929.99, and those prices are the cost for each device with 64GB of internal storage space. In addition to the full retail pricing you’ll be able to break up the cost of each phone onto the phone bill, at $33.33 a month for 24 months for the Galaxy S9, and $38.74 a month for 24 months for the Galaxy S9 Plus. Like T-Mobile, Verizon is offering trade-in promotions that will bring the price down. You can get up to $350 off when you purchase either phone on the installment plan and trade in devices like the Galaxy S8. Verizon is also offering trade-in values of $300, $200, and $100 based on the devices you bring in, with the newer devices from last year getting you the most back.

Alongside the internal storage, the Galaxy S9 will come with 4GB of RAM while the Galaxy S9 Plus will come with 6GB of RAM, and both will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor inside, in addition to USB Type-C ports for charging and data transfer with Samsung’s proprietary Fast Charge technology. The Galaxy S9 will come with a single 12-megapixel camera on the back of the device, while the Galaxy S9 Plus will have dual 12-megapixel sensors on the back and both come with an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video chat. Though there is no guarantee, Verizon could end up shipping orders of both phones out to consumers early for those that pre-order the device ahead of the actual launch date, so it might be worth considering placing a pre-order if you want to get either phone as early as possible.
