ZTE had announced three new smartphones at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), and we’re here to take a closer look at these smartphones. ZTE introduced the Blade V9, Blade V9 VITA, and Tempo Go smartphones yesterday. The first two handsets, are the company’s budget offerings, which run ZTE’s skin on top of Android, while the ZTE Tempo Go handset is actually a part of Google’s Android Go project. This basically means that the phone ships with a lightweight version of Android, called Android Go, along with a number of Android Go applications that Google created, like Gmail Go, Google Maps Go, and so on.
Now, as we’re currently roaming around the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, we were able to take a closer look at all of these smartphones, and you will find a number of images in galleries down below. There are three galleries included down there, one for each of these smartphones. The ZTE Blade V9 and Blade V9 VITA look almost the same on the outside (metal + glass vs metal unibody build), though the Blade V9 is larger than the Blade V9 VITA, and also superior to the ‘VITA’ model. Both of these phone sport a dual camera setup on the back, and those two camera setup look almost identical. A fingerprint scanner is included on the back of these two phones as well, and the same can be said for ZTE’s logo. These two smartphones do not exactly sport thick bezels, but their bezels are not exactly as thin as bezels on some other handsets out there. Both cameras on the back of these two smartphones protrude a bit, while you will notice an LED flash located next to them.
The ZTE Tempo Go sports rather thick bezels, and three capacitive buttons below the display. This handset is really cheap, so this design is not exactly surprising. Its side bezels are quite thick as well, while the phone does not have a fingerprint scanner, and it offers a single camera on its back side. The phone is made out of plastic, and it comes with a rear-facing loudspeaker. An LED flash is a part of the offering, and this phone does sport a headphone jack at the very bottom. Having said that, both the ZTE Blade V9 and Blade V9 VITA sport fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) displays, the Blade V9 comes with a 5.7-inch display, while the Blade V9 VITA offers a 5.45-inch display. The Blade V9 sports either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, depending on the variant you get, while the Blade V9 VITA comes with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 450 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels the Blade V9, while the Snapdragon 435 is doing the same for the Blade V9 VITA. The ZTE Tempo Go, on the other hand, comes with a 5-inch 854 x 480 display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. This Android Go smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 210, and it features a 5-megapixel camera on its back. The ZTE Blade V9 and V9 VITA are set to cost €269 and €179, while the Tempo Go will be priced at $79.99.
