A new live image allegedly shows off Huawei’s upcoming mid-ranger, the Huawei P20 Lite. The Chinese company has already confirmed that its upcoming flagship lineup will debut in Paris on March 27, with both the regular P20 and P20 Plus both set to sport a new bezel-less design, and now a new live image confirms that the smaller P20 Lite will join its more expensive siblings in adopting the new design.

Looking at the image, Huawei’s upcoming mid-range competitor will feature a near-identical design to the previously-leaked Huawei P20. In fact, the only major design difference appears to be the placement of the fingerprint sensor, which now sits in the center of the rear panel, instead of the front-panel placement that is seen on the regular P20. However, aside from this, the Huawei P20 Lite sports the same glass and metal build that is dominated on the front by a new 18:9, 5.6-inch display, complete with an iPhone X-like notch. In terms of the rear, a vertical dual-camera setup is present alongside what appears to be a dual-tone flash. The setup itself is said to feature two Leica-branded 16-megapixel sensors which will be capable of hybrid zoom. It has yet to be confirmed if the secondary sensor will also be of a monochrome affair like the sensor on the Huawei P20. Moving on to internal specifications, the P20 Lite is set to be on par with the Mate 10 Lite, meaning the same Kirin 659 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. In addition, Huawei is also said to have included 64GB of internal storage and a pretty large 3520mAh battery. Lastly, just like its bigger siblings, the Huawei P20 Lite is expected to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo straight out of the box and Huawei’s EMUI 8.0 overlay on top.

Huawei’s upcoming P20 lineup is set to put a heavy focus on the upgraded camera setup, with the larger P20 Plus expected to feature a unique triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a main 12-megapixel sensor coupled with a secondary 16-megapixel monochrome camera and a third 16-megapixel telephoto lens. In addition this will likely go hand-in-hand with the company’s new focus on artificial intelligence, something Huawei has been teasing heavily in promotional posters for the Huawei P20 unveiling.
