LG is seemingly developing a new smartphone powered by Android 8.0 Oreo, according to a recently-discovered user agent profile pertaining to an LG handset bearing the model number L713DL. The UAProf was shared via ScientiaMobile and describes several hardware characteristics of the device, including its screen size and resolution as well as the make and model of the chipset. Additionally, although pictures with the phone are presently missing, the screen resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels indicates that the LG L713DL will have an elongated display with an 18:9 image format.
Other hardware details linked to the newly-discovered LG smartphone include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset unveiled in mid-2017, which features eight ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz along with an Adreno 506 graphics chip. According to the user agent profile the chipset is paired with 2GB of RAM and while the device appears to lack NFC capabilities, it seems to support Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS, all the while offering an on-board FM tuner. Finally the 2:1 display has a 6.2-inch diagonal, and the smartphone’s overall dimensions clock in at 160.1 x 77.8 x 8.1mm while the entire package weighs 172 grams.
It’s unclear what moniker the LG L713DL will be officially known by, though it might be worth noting that the model number is nearly identical to the aging LG Optimus L7 II’s ‘P713’ released in 2013. However, the Optimus nametag hasn’t been used by LG for several years and it’s unlikely for the series to make a comeback. Either way, according to an LG-focused media outlet known as My LG Phones, the mysterious LG L713DL could be released in the United States through TracFone and other networks operating under TracFone’s umbrella, such as NET10 Wireless. LG has a bit of a history with TracFone as the company did release a number of TracFone-labeled smartphones in the previous years, including GSM and CDMA versions of the LG Rebel 3 LTE and the LG Stylo 3 LTE, just to name a few. But in closing, the UAProf doesn’t seem to shed any light on the LG L713DL’s networking setup so only time will tell whether it will be a new TracFone device by LG. Availability and pricing details are currently unknown but it’s likely that this won’t be the first and only time for the L713DL to reach the headlines so stay tuned.
