OnePlus is working on a new Marvel edition of the upcoming OnePlus 6. The China-based company has previously worked with Lucasfilm in order to produce last year’s OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition but has now prematurely posted a Facebook video that reveals yet another collaboration with a Disney brand, having promptly removed the clip earlier today. The video was still picked up by several users before being removed and can now be rewatched on YouTube, as seen below.

The promo hints at an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 and specifically mentions the release of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War on April 27. Design-wise, nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, but if last year’s Star Wars-themed device is anything to go by, it seems likely that a neutral color could once again form the basis of the device, with a few colored accents being included alongside the Avengers logo on the rear of the device. However, it’s currently unclear if the Avengers Edition will act as an exclusive for the Indian market given how the teaser has been posted by OnePlus India, or if the firm will make it available to a wider range of consumers like it did with the Star Wars edition of the OnePlus 5T. The OEM has yet to confirm the official release date of its upcoming device, but considering the teaser video once again confirms that Avengers: Infinity War will hit the theaters late this month, it seems likely that a similar OnePlus 6 launch date is on the cards. After all, the company’s CEO also recently confirmed the existence of the device by revealing its display notch and, later on, OnePlus itself announced the phone’s name as part of its first official teaser. The OnePlus 5T is already unavailable for purchase in most parts of the world.

The OnePlus 6 is expected to boast a large 6.3-inch display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 on the inside. In addition, both 128GB and 64GB storage variants are rumored to be in the works, with at least one of them being likely to be accompanied by 8GB of RAM and all running OxygenOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In terms of the imaging capabilities, the rear plate of the device is expected to feature a dual 16-megapixel setup, while a single selfie sensor will be featured on the front, as per older reports. Also, previous rumors have pointed toward both glass and wood-like finishes, although it’s still unclear which one will be utilized by the Avengers Edition, provided the special variant of the handset doesn’t end up boasting a unique texture.
