It seems like the Xiaomi Redmi 6A just got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC). Based on its model number, M1804C3CT, we cannot say that it is the Redmi 6A, but it sure seems to be based on the design and specs. Before we begin talking about the Redmi 6A, however, it is worth saying that the alleged Redmi Note 6 popped up on TENAA as well, a couple of days ago, and it sported thinner bezels than the device that we’re looking at today, while it also sported a notch, and a different design of its backside.
Having said that, it seems like the Redmi 6A will be made out of metal, it will sport a dual camera setup on the back, while a fingerprint scanner will also be included on its backside. We cannot see the bottom of the device, but it seems like the phone’s loudspeaker will be included on the back, not the bottom, while the phone’s bezels are not exactly thin, they’re not that thick either, but considerably thicker than modern on other devices Xiaomi released this year. The back side of this phone is curved, while the phone’s display will sport rounded corners it seems. The device that got certified features a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, and it comes with 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, depending on the variant. Those three RAM variants include 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of storage, respectively, while the phone’s storage is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
A 3,000mAh battery is also included in this phone, while you will find 13 and 8-megapixel cameras on its back. A 5-megapixel camera is included on the front side of the phone, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on it, with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. The phone is fueled by an unnamed 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, but it’s probably one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 series chips. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity, it measures 147.46 x 71.49 x 8.3mm, while it weighs 145 grams. The alleged Redmi 6A will come in Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Pink, Purple, Red, Rose Gold, Silver, and White color variants, according to TENAA. This handset is expected to launch in the near future, but we still do not know when exactly.
