Honor has announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor 10, today in London. This smartphone was already announced in China a few weeks ago, so it’s not really a new smartphone per se, but it is now available in Europe. The company announced that the Honor 10 will be priced at £399.99 in the United Kingdom today at 16:00 BST. It is also going on sale on select other countries in Europe, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain today.

The Honor 10 may be the company’s latest flagship smartphone, but it is definitely cheaper than most flagship smartphones. Now it does sport flagship specs, including a 5.84-inch 2280×1080 resolution display, powered by a Kirin 970 processor with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Honor also has a dual-camera setup here with a 16-megapixel sensor and a 24-megapixel sensor available. All powered by a 3400mAh capacity battery. Specs isn’t the entire story on the Honor 10 however. The company is really touting its AI capabilities on the Honor 10, using the tagline “Beauty in AI”. The Honor 10 boasts the companies AI Camera 2.0, which can now recognize over 500 scenarios in 12 different categories in real time. The Honor 10 can also recognize many objects in the same frame, instead of just one. This is thanks to the Semantic Image Segmentation technology, which Honor touts as the industry’s first. Honor has also brought its AI Camera 2.0 over to the front-facing camera, which is a 24-megapixel sensor as well. Which should translate to a pretty good selfie experience for most people.

While software is a big part of most smartphones today, Honor is really touting the look of the Honor 10. It does have a notch at the top, which does sport the front-facing camera as well as the earpiece. It’s a pretty small notch, but it is there. The backside of the Honor 10 is pretty stunning. It has 15 layers of glass, which results in a colorful radiance  from just about any angle on the  Honor 10. This is something that Huawei did with the P20 and P20 Pro earlier this year, and now it’s here on the Honor 10. Honor touts that it used world-class industrial techniques to achieve the look on the Honor 10. Honor is proud to be taking its expertise to new levels by offering its smartphones in newer colors, seeing as many smartphones are only available in a couple of colors – usually black or white – but since 2016, many smartphones have started getting creative with different colors, and Honor has been one of those. The Honor 10 will be available in Phantom Blue, Phantom Green, Midnight Black, and Glacier Grey.

The Honor 10 will be available for purchase on HiHonor.com later today for just £399.99. Honor has only announced European markets today, so it’s unclear whether this will be coming to the US, but it likely will in the coming future. It’s a great looking smartphone, and likely one that will really sell well in Europe, especially since it is an unlocked smartphone – which does rather well in Europe already.
