With OnePlus 6 set to launch in India next Thursday, the company today announced to open pre-bookings for the device starting May 13. Interested buyers can reserve their units during the OnePlus 6 Fast AF (Fast & First) sale scheduled between May 13 and 16 on Amazon.in. The pre-booking will be done against an Amazon.in Gift Card worth Rs. 1,000 ($15) which can be later redeemed while purchasing the OnePlus 6 on May 21 and 22. As added benefits of reserving a device unit, the buyers will be eligible for a Rs. 1,000 cashback as Amazon Pay balance and an extended warranty of 3 months on the OnePlus 6.

In order to avail these benefits, the buyers will have to perform a series of steps after visiting Amazon India’s website. A OnePlus 6 Email Gift Card needs to be purchased worth Rs. 1,000 while the Fast AF sale is live between 13th and 16th of May. This Gift Card will be sent to the user’s registered email address, available for redemption when the OnePlus 6 smartphone goes on sale in the country. On 21st and 22nd of May, the users can swap this Gift Card against their purchase of the handset to be eligible for the said offers. Amazon India states that the buyers will receive the cashback of Rs. 1,000 in their Amazon Pay wallet latest by June 12, whereas the extended warranty will be directly provided by OnePlus by June 30. The OnePlus 6 is scheduled to debut on May 16 at an event in London followed by its launch in India the next day. It will go on sale on May 21 exclusively for Amazon Prime members with another sale on May 22 probably open for all customers.

This announcement from OnePlus was accompanied by a photo of the OnePlus 6 showing its alert slider now placed on the right side of the phone, instead of left, as seen on previous OnePlus flagships. The device is confirmed to feature a display notch and a glass back with the company also teasing some form of water resistance. The Chinese brand has also partnered with Marvel Studios to announce a special OnePlus 6 Avengers Limited Edition smartphone in the Indian market on May 17 itself. However, there is still no word on when it will be up for sale. Android P Beta for OnePlus 6 has also been confirmed by the company ahead of its launch.
