The upcoming Samsung Galaxy J6 Android device has already been subjected to a series of leaks speculating most of its specifications. In a recent leak, some high-quality press renders of the mid-range phone have surfaced revealing it from all the sides. The handset can be seen in three colors – black, gold, and a shade of blue – while the front will remain black irrespective of the color variant. In line with the previous leaks, these newly leaked images also show the alleged Galaxy J6 sporting an Infinity Display, a first for the Galaxy J series. Given the thin bezels around the display, the fingerprint scanner is now placed below the rear camera, an approach that was first seen on the Samsung Galaxy A8.
As opposed to previous rumors suggesting the Galaxy J6 to feature a dedicated Bixby button, these renders don’t show any physical button other than the usual power and volume keys. On a closer look, a 3.5mm headphone jack can be seen at the bottom, while a pair of SIM-card trays is placed on the phone’s left side, below the volume keys. From the two trays, it can be interpreted that the Android smartphone will not only support two SIM cards, but also a dedicated slot for a microSD card. The South Korean company is expected to position this smartphone below its recently announced Galaxy A6 line of smartphones. The leak suggests the J6 to sport a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display in an HD+ resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels. It will come boasting an octa-core Samsung-made Exynos 7870 chipset with either 2GB, 3GB, or 4GB of RAM, depending on the region the phone is available in. These RAM options will be coupled with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage that will possibly be expandable. A 13-megapixel rear camera will be included along with a front-facing 8-megapixel camera, both of which will be accompanied by an LED flash. Samsung is expected to equip the mid-ranger with Android 8.0 Oreo while a 3,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package.
Just yesterday, a couple of real-life hands-on images of the Galaxy J6 had leaked showing a design very close to what these press renders reveal. Reportedly, Samsung has already started to advertise its unannounced mid-range smartphone in certain Indian stores indicating a possible announcement in the near future.
