ASUS‘ latest flagship smartphone, the ZenFone 5Z, has finally gone up for pre-orders in the US. The ZenFone 5Z will start at $499, for the 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage model. Which makes it a real contender for one of the best smartphones under $500 right now. The ZenFone 5Z was announced at Mobile World Congress back in February, and was a pretty impressive device. Now it does have a notch, which ASUS is happy to point out, is smaller than the notch found on the iPhone X.

The ZenFone 5Z sports a 6.2-inch 18.7:9 aspect ratio display. It is still 1080p, but 2246×1080 instead of the usual resolution. This is due to the taller display here. Under-the-hood, ASUS has included the Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 3300mAh capacity battery that will keep the ZenFone running all day long on a single charge. ASUS is also using a dual-camera setup on the back of the ZenFone 5Z, which is comprised of 12-megapixel and a 8-megapixel cameras. ASUS is also using artificial intelligence in the camera, and elsewhere in the smartphone so that you can get even better photos and have a better experience with its latest smartphone. This is something that many smartphone makers are doing these days.

ASUS is selling the ZenFone 5Z through both Amazon and B&H Photo. Now currently, Amazon’s site shows that it is unavailable, but it should be available for pre-order within the next few hours. The ZenFone 5Z will be priced at $499, which is a really good price for this smartphone, considering the specs that are included in this phone. There is a pair of headphones in the box, since there is a headphone jack here. Which is something you don’t see to often with smartphones these days. You can pre-order the ZenFone 5Z from either Amazon or B&H Photo from the links below.
