AGM has just announced that it will show off a global version of the AGM X3 at this year’s Global Sources Mobile Electronics Show in Hong Kong, along with a new model of the phone that we’ll talk more as well. This announcement will take place on October 18, though the show will last from October 18 to October 21, and AGM will be there until the end, at booth 9D26. Having said that, the AGM X3 had been originally announced back in August, and this is a rather powerful rugged smartphone, as it is fueled by the most powerful SoC Qualcomm has to offer at the moment.
The AGM X3 is made out of metal and glass, the device sports two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, and a dual-LED, dual-tone flash. A fingerprint scanner is also located on the back of the device, along with the company’s logo. This phone’s back side is curved, while the device does sport bezels, but they’re not too thick. The AGM X3 is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while it comes with a maximum of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. 12 and 24-megapixel cameras are included on the back of this phone, while a single 20-megapixel camera can be found on the phone’s front side. A 4,100mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. On top of that, the AGM X3 comes with support for 10W fast wireless charging, Qi standard.
The phone features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on top of it. The phone is IP68-certified, while it also comes with the military-grade MIL-STD-810G rating. JBL tuned this phone’s audio, and speaking of JBL, it seems like AGM is planning to announce a new X3 model during the show as well, one that will ship “with a more outdoor JBL-tuned audio system”, whatever that means. AGM also mentioned that the price tag for this new model will be “much lower” compared to the regular X3 handset.
