The OUKITEL WP2 was recently durability-tested, and it also became available for pre-order, and now OUKITEL has decided to disassemble the device, in order to show you what lies on the inside, and how to fix the phone at the same time. The company disassembled the device in a video has a duration of about six minutes. Before we begin, it is worth noting that the OUKITEL WP2 is a rugged smartphone, and that it managed to withstand quite a bit of abuse in the company’s durability test.
Now, the first thing you want to do is power off the phone, after which you can proceed with removing a number of screws that are included on the back of the device. After you’re finished, you will be able to take off the back side of the device completely, no adhesive to worry about whatsoever. At this point, you can remove the plastic plate that covers the phone’s camera and other components that are included above its huge battery. Removing the battery is your next step, and at that point, you can start removing components below the battery, which include its charging port, speaker, and so on. Now you can remove the phone’s cameras, and the rest of its components above the battery. At this point, everything is more or less out of the phone, and you can start repairing whatever is needed. As you can see, disassembling the OUKITEL WP2 is fairly simple, though if you don’t feel comfortable doing it, it may be best to stay away from such procedures, of course.
The OUKITEL WP2 features a 6-inch 18:9 display, while Corning’s Gorilla Glass protects that panel. The device is fueled by the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor, while the phone packs in 4GB of RAM. A 10,000mAh battery is included in this package as well, while you will find 16 and 8-megapixel sensors on the back of the phone. An 8-megapixel camera sits on the phone’s front side, while the device has two SIM card slots, and is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. The OUKITEL WP2 is available for pre-order from GearBest at the moment, and it costs $219.99. This is a discounted price tag for the device, as its price tag will jump to $269.99 after September 30.
