Lenovo has now added a new pair of headphones to its popular “Yoga” product line, the Lenovo Yoga ANC Headphones.
As the name suggests, one of the main selling points with the Lenovo Yoga ANC Headphones is the inclusion of active noise cancellation (ANC). Therefore users can expect more of an immersive experience by reducing the likelihood of outside noise interfering with what the listener hears.
This is not just for when you are listening to music either, but also when you are trying to tune in and concentrate on any audio at all. For example, Lenovo is equally pushing these headphones as an option designed for both entertainment and professional use cases, including conference calls. The latter of which is further bolstered by the inclusion of Smart Voice and Skype compatibility.
In other words, these headphones, like the Yoga line in general, is geared towards those in the market for an option that can equally cater to ‘work or play’ scenarios without dropping in quality or reliability.
Further adding to their versatile nature, these are being positioned as a cross-platform solution with support for Android, iOS and Windows devices.
Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C connectivity are also both included and this effectively means these can be used as either a wireless or wired solution when needed. Of course, the wired option is more of a new-age solution as owners will only be able to use these with a smartphone (without the use of an adapter) if connecting via the phone’s USB Type-C port as the headphones themselves do not come with a 3.5mm port. At present, there’s no word on whether an adapter is included in the package.
Lenovo has also yet to provide firm details on the battery life but does state the battery takes less than two hours to fully charge.
Otherwise, buyers can expect a fairly typical set of headphones here which come with what Lenovo refers to as a “modern design” with a “premium finish.” This includes aluminum finished ear cups with soft cushioning, as well as the option to collapse the headphones down for easier transportation and storage within the included case.
In terms of the availability and pricing, the Yoga ANC Headphones are set to arrive in the U.S. in July and will be priced at $169.99. This pricing firmly places these headphones in the mid-range category considering they are ANC headphones and therefore will appeal to buyers looking for a reliable and somewhat premium set of headphones without having to pay the price touted by many of the leading options in the ANC headphones category.
Prior to the U.S.market debut, these headphones will be available to buy in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in June. Lenovo has not currently released regional-specific pricing for these areas but has stated an overall guide price outside of the U.S. of €158.
The new Yoga ANC headphones were announced during MWC 2019, where among other things, the company unveiled a new Android tablet that doubles as a phone and a new business-focused Chromebook.
