Following the OnePlus 7 renders which surfaced earlier today, a real-life image of the device also appeared online. As you can see in the provided image, which appeared on Weibo (Chinese social network), we’re looking at the same device that appeared earlier today.
The provided image shows the phone’s pop-up camera, which is sticking out of the phone’s body in this image, as whoever is handling the device is setting up facial scanning. OnePlus’ facial scanning relies on the phone’s front-facing camera alone, in case you’re out of the loop.
This image also shows off an almost bezel-less device, the bottom bezel will be the thickest on the OnePlus 7 if leaks are to be believed, but it will be extremely. The phone is said to sport a screen-to-body ratio of over 95-percent, and as you can see, the display will sport rounded corners, and will not include a display notch, or a display hole of any kind.
The phone’s earpiece is not visible in the provided image, but it will be placed above the display, in the phone’s frame, more or less, as it was on the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 7 will be made out of metal and glass, and even though we can’t see its rear-facing cameras here, a previous leak revealed three vertically-aligned cameras on the back. The phone will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, while a 3.5mm headphone jack will not be included in the package. The OnePlus 7’s back side will be curved, and it seems like a curved glass will be included on top of the phone’s display.
The power / lock key will be included on the right-hand side of the phone, while an alert slider will sit right above it. The volume up and down buttons will sit on the left, along with the phone’s SIM card tray. A Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom, along with the phone’s loudspeaker.
The OnePlus 7 is rumored to sport a 6.5-inch display, and thanks to the fact that the phone will not include a display notch or a hole, you will actually get access to all that screen real estate. It remains to be seen if the device will be larger because of all that, but it’s possible that it will be a bit wider and taller than the OnePlus 6T, if the company doesn’t alter its display aspect ratio.
The OnePlus 7 will almost certainly include a fullHD+ OLED display, while it will ship with at least 6GB of RAM on the inside, though more than one RAM variant will be available. The Snapdragon 855 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel this handset, and the device is rumored to include a rather large battery on the inside, a battery larger than 4,000mAh.
OnePlus’ Warp Charge fast charging will be available as well, this is wired charging we’re talking about, while wireless charging will probably not be a part of the package at all. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on the OnePlus 7, along with OxygenOS, while this phone will support 4G LTE connectivity. OnePlus will release a separate flagship with 5G support. The OnePlus 7 is expected to arrive either in May or June.
