The most powerful HONOR 20 variant, the HONOR 20 Pro, has just surfaced on Weibo (Chinese social media network) with its periscope-style camera. As you can see, only the back side of the device appeared on Weibo this time around, and it paints a really nice picture as to what can we expect in terms of the design.

The back side of the HONOR 20 Pro will be curved, while the device will include four cameras on the back, if you’re counting the ToF (Time of Flight) camera sensor. The first sensor at the top is the periscope-style one that is included in the Huawei P30 Pro and the recently-announced OPPO Reno flagship. The second and the last one seem to be regular sensors, probably ultra-wide-angle and telephoto ones, while the ToF camera sensor sits between the second and third sensor on the back. All of those cameras sensors are vertically-aligned, as you can see, and all of them protrude on the back a bit.

A dual-LED flash is located next to those camera sensors, and laser autofocus seems to be placed above it, but we’re only guessing based on the look of that sensor. HONOR’s branding is present on the back of this phone, and also vertically-aligned. This image also reveals that the power / lock, volume up, and volume down buttons will all be located on the right-hand side of the phone, which probably means that a SIM card tray will be accessible from the left.

HONOR had announced yesterday that the HONOR 20 series will arrive on May 21. HONOR confirmed that the devices will be announced in London, and that the Chinese launch will not come first, so the London launch will basically premiere the HONOR 20 series, which was not the case in the past.

The company is expected to announce the HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Pro, and perhaps even the HONOR 20 Lite during that press event. The HONOR 20 and 20 Pro will be flagship-grade phones, though the HONOR 20 Pro will be considerably more compelling it seems, as the HONOR 20 may not even ship with the periscope-style camera, same as the Huawei P30.

If the recently-leaked info is anything to go by, the HONOR 20 Pro will include Sony’s 40-megapixel (IMX600) sensor on the back, as its main camera, while it is said to ship with 20-megapixel secondary, and 8-megapixel tertiary camera sensors. Both the HONOR 20 and 20 Pro will be fueled by the Kirin 980, and rumors are suggesting that both devices will include a 6.1-inch fullHD+ display, though chances are that their display sizes will not be identical.

The HONOR 20 Pro is also rumored to arrive in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, with 128GB and 256GB of storage. The 6GB RAM model will allegedly be available with 128GB of storage, while the 8GB RAM model will ship in both 128GB and 256GB flavors.

The HONOR 20 Pro is also expected to include a 3,650mAh battery, and support 22.5W fast wired charging. GPU Turbo will be included in the package as well, while the phone’s three variants that we’ve mentioned are rumored to cost 2,999 Yuan ($446), 3,399 Yuan ($506), and 3,799 Yuan ($565) in China, which means they will be a bit more expensive than that in Europe.
