The OUKITEL K9 is the company’s brand new big battery smartphone, and in order to showcase how fast the phone’s battery can be charged, OUKITEL has decided to pit this handset against the HONOR 8X Max in a charging competition.
This comparison has been recorded on video, and that video has been published on OUKITEL’s official YouTube channel. The video itself is three and a half minutes long, and it will show you the whole charging process.
Before we begin it is worth noting that the OUKITEL K9 features a 6,000mAh battery which supports 5V/6A charging, while the HONOR 8X Max comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 9V/2A charging. Both phones include 7.12-inch fullHD+ displays, which is probably why OUKITEL opted to compare its offering with the HONOR 8X Max.
After 40 minutes of charging, the HONOR 8X Max got charged up to 43-percent, while the OUKITEL K9 managed to hit 71-percent. After one hour, the HONOR 8X Max stood at 58-percent, while the OUKITEL K9 was in a considerable lead with 87-percent of battery. The OUKITEL K9 got fully charged after an hour and 20 minutes, while HONOR stood at 74-percent at the time, it took the phone two hours and 20 minutes to get fully charged.
As you can see, the OUKITEL K9 not only has a larger battery, but can be charged faster than the HONOR 8X Max, as it offers faster charging with the included charger. That may interest some of you, especially if you’re trying to decide which of the two phones to purchase.
The OUKITEL K9 basically comes with a tablet-sized display, a 7.12-inch fullHD+ (2244 x 1080) LTPS panel. The phone is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P35 64-bit octa-core processor, and it ships with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card).
On the back of this phone sit 16 and 2-megapixel cameras, while a single 8-megapixel unit can be found on its front side. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the phone, while the device supports 4G LTE connectivity, and will be available in Jet Black and Sapphire Blue color variants.
The OUKITEL K9 is not yet available for purchase, but it will be by the end of the month. The company said that the phone will retail for $229.99, but if you subscribe to the company’s website, you’ll be able to get it for only $199.99 and also get a gift (screen magnifier), not to mention that the company will also give away devices to two lucky subscribers.
