Samsung Galaxy smartphone and tablet owners have more exclusive Fortnite items coming their way. The South Korean company today confirmed that a Galaxy-exclusive Fortnite outfit “Glow” and Levitate emote are now available to download on eligible devices. The very long list of Samsung devices that support the Fortnite Glow outfit and Levitate emote include the Galaxy Note 10, Note10+, Note10+ 5G, Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+, S10 5G, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9, S9+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8, S8+, S8 Active, Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S7 Active, Galaxy Tab S6, Tab S4, Tab S3, Tab S3 Wi-Fi, Galaxy A9, A70, A80, and Galaxy A90.
Note that you’ll need to download and launch Fortnite from the Galaxy Store or Galaxy Game Launcher to get these exclusive goodies.
Fortnite Glow outfit for Samsung devices
Samsung’s partnership with Epic Games, the production house behind Fortnite, started last year with the launch of the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Tab S4. The partnership eventually brought Fortnite to Android. Since then, select Samsung smartphone owners have received not one, but three exclusive Fortnite skins.
The first of the three was the Galaxy Skin that was offered to Note 9 and Tab S4 owners at launch. It was removed from the in-game store in March this year. Galaxy Skin was followed by the iKONIK skin, introduced in March this year along with the Galaxy S10 series. The skin was modeled after Jung Chan-woo, a member of the K-Pop band iKON.
Samsung and Epic Games have now released another Galaxy-exclusive Fortnite skin. The new Glow outfit is inspired by the Galaxy Note 10‘s signature Aura Glow color. The release of Glow skin means the iKONIK skin will no longer be available for download. Those who have already redeemed the skin will continue to have it, though.
How to redeem Fortnite Glow outfit
As said earlier, you must download and launch Fortnite from the Galaxy Store or Galaxy Game Launcher on an eligible Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet to get these exclusive goodies. Once this is sorted, sign in to your Epic Games account and go to the store. Make sure that your store is set to Samsung by going to Settings > Account > Content > Android Store Selection.
Now inside the Fortnite Store, look for Limited-Time Offers and tap on it. Here you’ll find the exclusive Glow outfit. Tap on it to redeem the outfit and the Levitate emote. You’ll be asked to register a credit card if you have not done so already. Your card will not be charged, though. Once you’ve completed the process, your new Glow outfit and Levitate emote will be available in your locker.
You can also gift the new items to your friend with two-factor authentication. Note that you’ll have to complete all these processes by December 31, 2019. This may not be the last such Galaxy-exclusive Fortnite skin, though. The Galaxy S11 is highly likely to launch with its own exclusive Fortnite skin. The eleventh edition Galaxy S flagship launches sometime in the first quarter of next year.
