Sony had introduced its Xperia 1 II flagship during an online-only event today, which we’ve already talked about. Well, along with that phone, Sony also introduced the Xperia 10 II, its new mid-range handset. That device is a direct successor to last year’s Xperia 10.

The Sony Xperia 10 II is made out of metal and glass, and it includes three cameras on the back. The phone comes with a flat display, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Sony Xperia 10 II comes without a display hole or notch

The device does not include a display camera hole, or notch, but it does include some bezel above and below the display. The device’s fingerprint scanner is placed right below its volume up and down buttons on the right. This handset, unlike the Xperia 1 II, does not include a dedicated camera shutter.

The Sony Xperia 10 II comes with a single camera on the front, and its rear camera module is placed in the top-left corner. Those cameras are vertically-aligned, and the camera module does protrude on the back, a bit.

The Xperia 10 II features a 6-inch fullHD+ OLED display with 21:9 display aspect ratio. This display comes with ‘Video Image Optimization’ says Sony.

The Snapdragon 665 64-bit octa-core processor fuels this phone. It’s quite interesting that Sony did not opt for a Snapdragon 700-series processor to include in this device. It is what it is, though.

This smartphone packs in 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 3,600mAh battery is included inside the phone, and it is not removable. The device supports fast charging.

The Xperia 10 II comes with IP65/68 certifications for water and dust resistance. This means that it’s just as resistant as the Xperia 1 II, which has the exact same certification(s).

The phone includes three cameras on the back, and one on the front

This smartphone includes one 12-megapixel, and two 8-megapixel cameras on the back. The main 12-megapixel camera includes a 26mm lens inside. One of the 8-megapixel cameras includes a 52mm lens, while the other comes with a 16mm one.

A single 8-megapixel camera can be found on the front side of this smartphone. The device has been announced in Black and White color variants, and it weighs 151 grams. The phone measures 157 x 69 x 8.2mm.

A 3.5mm headphone jack is a part of this smartphone as well. Sony has opted to retain a 3.5mm headphone jack both on its flagship, and its new mid-range offering.

We still do not know how much will this smartphone cost. Sony is expected to release more information soon, so stay tuned. The only thing we know is that it’s coming this Spring.
