Lara Croft & The Temple of Osiris & Kona Come To Stadia This Year

Google just announced two more games for Stadia, including Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris and Kona.

Both games have been confirmed to launch sometime in 2020. Google notes that they will be arriving on Stadia this year but does not mention any dates for the release of either title.

This is typical for Google with announcing its new Stadia releases. If you’re new to the service, soon enough Google will end up putting out a blog post that states the games will be launching “soon,” and that’s usually when their release is just around the corner.

A different kind of Lara Croft adventure on Stadia

All three mainline Tomb Raider games from the reboot of the series are already on Stadia, telling the story of the origin of Lara Croft.

With this new title Pro members are getting a different kind of Lara Croft adventure. While it’s still a Tomb Raider game, the gameplay is much different than what some may know.

Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris is an isometric action adventure game filled with puzzles, exciting combat, and best of all, co-op so you can play with up to three other friends. You can of course play this game solo. It’s way more fun with friends though.

There’s even a competitive co-op mode that lets players drop in and drop out seamlessly. No pricing has been revealed for this game yet. But, expect it to cost in the ballpark of $20 as this is what it costs on Steam and PlayStation 4.

Kona is a first-person mystery adventure game

The second new game announced for the platform is called Kona, a mystery adventure game that takes on a first-person view.

In Kona you’re tasked with unraveling the mystery of a strange blizzard that has taken over a quiet Canadian town. The game is set in the 1970s and has the story told by a third party. Basically there’s a narrator who is laying out the events of the game as they unfold.

You’ll be able to explore the landscape, contend with threats, and battle the elements as you try to survive the harsh cold. As you progress further into the game, you’ll be able to uncover the cause of the blizzard, which judging by the end of the trailer seems to be a more sinister source then you might expect initially.

This one is a completely single player experience, so get ready to settle in and take on whatever challenges come your way all by your lonesome.
