OPPO has silently announced a new smartphone, the Find X2 Lite. This handset has been listed on the company’s official website in Portugal. By doing that, the company revealed its specifications, and design, essentially announced the phone.
The OPPO Find X2 Lite is a part of the Find X2 family. The company introduced the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro flagships a while back. The Find X2 Lite is not a flagship, but it is quite a powerful mid-range smartphone.
The OPPO Find X2 Lite doesn’t feature a display camera hole like its siblings
The device somewhat resembles its siblings, but instead of a display camera hole, it includes a waterdrop display notch. The phone is made out of metal and glass, and its back side is curved.
The device includes a flat display on the front, and rather thin bezels all around. The bottom bezel is the thickest on this smartphone, while the device packs in four camera on the back.
The OPPO Find X2 Lite features a 6.4-inch fullHD+ display with 20:9 aspect ratio. This is an OLED display, which comes with 60Hz refresh rate. So it has a standard refresh rate. The display is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5.
An optical in-display fingerprint scanner is a part of this package as well. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 765 64-bit octa-core processor, and it supports 5G connectivity.
The OPPO Find X2 Lite packs in 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone offers the so-called ‘wrap camera design’, to provide the best possible signal at all times. This is to avoid signal loss depending on how the phone is held in-hand.
The phone also includes a Smart 5G feature which switches between 4G and 5G based on the network and bandwidth that are available at the time. This will help with power consumption, notes OPPO.
It features a 48-megapixel main camera on the back
The phone includes a 48-megapixel main camera (f/1.7 aperture) on the back. That camera is accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (which also acts as a macro camera), and a 2-megapixel monochrome portrait lens. The last camera on the back is a 2-megapixel camera for retro-style portrait shots.
A 32-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.0 aperture) is also included in the package, by the way. A 4,025mAh battery sits on the inside of this phone, and it supports VOOC 4.0 fast charging. This is 30W fast charging, and it can deliver 50-percent of battery power in just 20 minutes.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on this smartphone, along with OPPO’s custom UI. OPPO’s UI is called Color OS, and version 7 is included in the OPPO Find X2 Lite.
The device is 7.96mm thick, while it weighs 180 grams. The phone will cost €500 in Europe, but we still don’t have all the availability details. The phone will be available in Pearl White, and Moonlight Black color variants.
