Verizon will start selling the smaller Samsung Galaxy S20 5G next month, with pre-orders starting later this week.
When Samsung announced the Galaxy S20 series in February, it was notable that Verizon was not selling the smallest model. Only the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra. Which was because those two featured Sub-6 and mmWave 5G support, while the Galaxy S20 only did Sub-6. Of course, Verizon uses mmWave for its 5G network, so it was not going to sell a phone that did not support its network. That’s just common sense.
However, at that time, Verizon stated that it had a mmWave version of the Galaxy S20 5G coming to its network this Spring. And finally, it is here.
Coming in an exclusive Cloud White color
You remember that Cloud White color that had been leaking recently? Yeah, it’s an exclusive color for Verizon. Because exclusive colors are now a thing for some reason.
It is only going to be available in Cloud White too, which is rather unfortunate. But it is a really cool looking color. And thankfully, it won’t show fingerprints as much as the black and gray Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra models.
Pre-orders start on May 21
Now the part you’ve been waiting for. Pre-orders start on May 21 for the Galaxy S20. It still costs $999 or $41.66 per month for 24 months on Verizon’s Device Payment Plan.
Verizon will be shipping the device starting on June 4. So it is still a few weeks out.
As always, Verizon is doing a few promotions for this Galaxy S20 launch. Customers can buy any Galaxy S20 5G model and get up to $1,000 towards another device. And that is when you add a new Unlimited line and purchase the phone on a Device Payment Plan.
For those that are new or existing, you can save $150 when you buy a Galaxy S20 device, and that discount is given over monthly bill credits.
Existing customers can also save 50% with an additional $350 savings when you upgrade to the Galaxy S20 and trade-in your existing smartphone. But you do need to be on an existing Verizon premium Unlimited plan.
And finally, if you purchase the Galaxy S20 5G on a Verizon device payment plan, you can save $150 on select Samsung tablets and $100 on select Samsung wearables.
