Samsung has announced the rumored BTS Edition Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy Buds+. Both products leaked several times in the last week or two, and the company just confirmed their existence by announcing them.
The company made this announcement via its official website. Do note that both 5G and 4G variants of the Galaxy S20+ are getting the BTS Edition treatment.
Both the BTS Edition Galaxy S20+ & Galaxy Buds+ are purple-colored with BTS logo on them
Both products are purple-colored, and come with BTS’ logo on them. Samsung logo is on both products as well, of course. Just to be clear, the Galaxy Buds+ charging case has a BTS logo, not the earbuds themselves.
The Galaxy S20+ (both variants) comes with pre-installed BTS-inspired themes, and a fan community platform, Weverse, says Samsung. Decorative stickers are also included in the box, so that you can further personalize your devices.
Photo cards are included as well, and they include pictures of the band members. The Galaxy Buds+, on the other hand, make even more sense as a BTS edition considering they’re made for music-listening, pretty much… and BTS is a band.
They deliver sound by AKG, and are actually really good at it. The Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition also comes with photo cards of the band in the box, by the way.
Now, in terms of availability. The Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G BTS Edition and Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition will become available for pre-order on Samsungcom in the US from June 19. Pre-order will wrap up on July 8.
Those of you who pre-order the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition will get a 50-percent discount on the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition, and one limited edition poster featuring BTS.
If you pre-order both devices, you’ll get two limited edition BTS posters
Those who pre-order both the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition and the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition will get two free limited edition BTS posters. If you pre-order the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition, you’ll also get a BTS wireless charger.
Do note that pre-orders will be available only while supplies last. So, if Samsung runs out of inventory before July 8, the devices won’t be available to pre-order any longer.
In terms of general availability, all devices will go on sale starting on July 9 on Samsung.com and Amazon.com. Interestingly enough, that is the seventh anniversary of the BTS fan collective. The device will become available in Korea on that very same day, by the way.
The Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition is priced at 1397,000 won ($1,155) in Korea. The US price is still not revealed for either device. The Galaxy Buds+ cost 220,000w on ($181) in Korea.
