The Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite may launch at CES 2021, but it will come with a different name. Max Weinbach, a well-known tipster, said that the Galaxy S20 Lite is probably coming in January 2021, during CES.
Well, Ross Young, an analyst that you’ve probably heard of, had something to add to that. He offered a different launch timeframe, and said the device may not be called the Galaxy S20 Lite.

He heard that the phone will be called the Galaxy S20 FE, for whatever reason. On top of that, he thinks that the device will arrive for the holidays this year, perhaps even sooner than that.
Both Mr. Weinbach and Mr. Young had a ton of accurate information in the past, so we’ll see who’s right here. Both the holidays this year, and CES 2021 are still far away, so things may change until then.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, as many of you know, launched in January this year. Mr. Weinbach seems to think Samsung will stick to that release cycle, and won’t rush the Galaxy S20 Lite.
The Galaxy S10 Lite packs in the Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and solid specs all around. It’s not exactly a flagship phone from the company, but it’s nothing to be scoffed at, that’s for sure.
The Galaxy S10 Lite sure launched with a rather high price tag, though. We’re hoping that the company has different plans for the Galaxy S20 Lite, or whatever it ends up being called.
If the S10 Lite is any indication, the Galaxy S20 Lite may be equipped with the Snapdragon 865 if it arrives in January 2021. Qualcomm will probably release the Snapdragon 875 by then, though.
The device will probably look like a cross between the Galaxy S20 & Note 20
The Galaxy S20 Lite will probably look like a cross between the Galaxy S20 and Note 20. Well, if the S10 Lite is any indication, that is. The phone will include a display camera hole, which will be centered.
Its bezels will be quite thin, and it will probably be made out of metal and glass. The phone will include a flat display, and it will probably be a fullHD+ panel. We’re expecting Samsung to use a 90Hz panel this time around, though, at the very least.
The Galaxy S10 Lite includes a 60Hz panel, but high refresh rates are becoming a standard. The company could use a 90Hz display without a problem, though it may opt for a 60Hz one to cut costs.
In any case, the arrival of this smartphone is still far away, and things may change drastically in the coming months.
