The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is right around the corner. Samsung’s second-generation Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone is expected to arrive in August. While we’re waiting for that to happen, Ben Geskin and byteinsiders have released a concept of the Galaxy Fold 2, showing us what it could look like.

Do note that this is just a concept render, which comes in a video format. As you can see in the provided video, the image is spinning in this video, giving you a good look all around the phone.

Based on rumors and leaks, this is what the Galaxy Fold 2 could look like. You’ll notice a considerably larger outer display compared to its predecessor. You’ll also notice that the display notch is gone from the inner display.

This Galaxy Fold 2 concept has two display camera holes, and shows us what the real thing could look like

Samsung will, allegedly, go for a single display camera hole on both the inside, and the outside. Both displays will feature rather thin bezels, unlike the original Galaxy Fold.

The phone will sport a camera module similar to the one on the Galaxy S20+, by the looks of it. We’re still not sure what cameras will Samsung use exactly, but it could be the Galaxy S20+ setup altogether.

An in-display fingerprint scanner is included in this concept. Samsung will either utilize an in-display fingerprint scanner, or a side-facing one. A side-facing one would make more sense, as there are two displays.

The phone will be made out of metal and glass, which is something this concept design is trying to show. A Type-C port will be placed on the bottom, though it’s not visible here.

The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to launch on August 5. That is the rumored date for the second Unpacked event of the year. During that event, Samsung is planning to launch quite a few phones.

The company will announce five flagship-level phones. The Galaxy Note 20, Note 20+, and Note 20 Ultra will be accompanied by the Galaxy Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

The Snapdragon 865+ is expected to fuel this phone

The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. That chip hasn’t been made official yet, but it’s rumored to arrive soon. It will be a slightly more powerful variant of the Snapdragon 865, most probably.

The Fold 2 is also expected to pack in a large battery (or two of them), and ship with Android 10. Samsung’s custom UI will be included on top of Android 10, of course.

There you have it. The Galaxy Fold 2 is right around the corner, and this concept render will give you a good look at what you can expect. Samsung is expected to start teasing the phone soon.
