Both the ASUS ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro will be announced, it seems, and they will feature different SoCs. That is, at least, the information that a new report has shared.

This information comes from dealntech, who spotted the info on a website of a spare parts retailer. The motherboard and battery are listed on that website, and we’re seeing two models here.

The motherboard listing with model ZS670KS basically confirms that the ASUS ZenFone 7 series will come in both Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865 Plus variants.

The ASUS ZenFone 7 & ZenFone 7 Pro likely coming with different SoCs

Now, this probably means that the regular ASUS ZenFone 7 will include the Snapdragon 865, while the ‘Pro’ model will pack in the Snapdragon 865 Plus.

The listing also shows that the regular model will pack in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The other model, presumably the ‘Pro’ unit, will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned, and it is possible that the same battery will be included in both models. That is a really nice battery size for the device, presuming it will sport a 6.4-inch fullHD+ display as reports are saying.

These phones will include 5G connectivity, as a recent certification stated. Now, this website did not share an image of the ZenFone 7 or the ZenFone 7 Pro, in case you were wondering.

It was reported earlier that the ZenFone 7 will feature a 6.4-inch fullHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It seems that will be an LCD panel, unfortunately, but we’re not sure just yet.

The devices will include a triple camera setup, as part of its flip camera module

The phone is also expected to include a 64-megapixel main camera from Sony (IMX686 sensor). A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera from Sony (IMX363) will also be included. On top of that, a ToF (Time-of-Flight) camera will also be included on a flip camera module.

A fingerprint scanner will be a part of the package as well, and it could actually be included on the back. Though it’s possible ASUS will place it on the side. It will not be included under the display, if rumors are accurate.

It was also mentioned earlier that the base model of the device will cost €499, while the model with 8GB of RAM will be priced at €549. Well, similar price tags are listed on the retailer’s site (€505 & €549, respectively).

The two phones will likely have identical specifications, save for the RAM and storage counts, as already mentioned. The ASUS ZenFone 7 series will become official on August 26.
