Samsung just held its fully virtual Unpacked event, where it announced five different devices.
These devices all leaked quite extensively ahead of the event today, but now everything is official.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7 series, the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live. So let’s get right into it and talk about what Samsung announced.
Galaxy Note 20 series
The product that Samsung always announces at its fall Unpacked event, is the Galaxy Note. And this year was no different.
There are two Galaxy Note 20 smartphones this year, not the three that many had anticipated. There is the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. Which have even more differences than you’d expect.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the complete powerhouse, while the Galaxy Note 20 is made for those that don’t need the latest bleeding-edge specs in every category.
Both phones go up for pre-order at midnight tonight.
Galaxy Tab S7 series
Also rumored quite a bit, was the Galaxy Tab S7 series. And we say “series” because there’s more than one.
Samsung has two tablets this time around, with an 11-inch Galaxy Tab S7 and a 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S7+. These line up pretty similar to the Galaxy Note 20 series. With the Galaxy Tab S7 being a bit more modest, but the Galaxy Tab S7+ having the latest spec in every category.
These are also the first 5G tablets in the world, and will be available for pre-order at midnight tonight, as well.
Galaxy Watch 3
That’s right, Samsung decided to skip out on the Galaxy Watch 2 and go straight to 3. Since it’s been two years since the Galaxy Watch was announced, there’s quite a few differences that are coming to the Galaxy Watch 3.
Samsung made the watch physically smaller, and added a larger display. Battery life is still pretty impressive when compared to Wear OS smartwatches.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy Watch 3 also start tonight at midnight.
Galaxy Buds Live
Not the Galaxy Beans, but the Galaxy Buds Live. These are the company’s newest pair of truly wireless headphones, and are meant to be a more premium option.
Galaxy Buds Live come with features like active noise cancellation, as well as multiple microphones that can be used for always-listening features with Bixby or Google Assistant. And of course, there is the pretty impressive battery life, sporting up to eight hours of continuous playback.
Samsung is opening the Galaxy Buds Live pre-orders at midnight tonight as well.
Galaxy Z Fold 2
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 was also teased at Unpacked today. Samsung didn’t give us many details about the device, but we do know it is coming in the signature Mystic Bronze color (and Mystic Black).
With the new Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung is giving users a much larger Cover Screen at 6.2-inches and even the inside display is larger at 7.6-inches. There’s also no more notches. As both displays are Infinity-O displays. Making the device look absolutely stunning.
Samsung has stated that we will get more details on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on September 1. Samsung also noted that pre-orders will start that day.
