The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will arrive in an Exynos variant as well. This information has been confirmed via a Geekbench listing, pretty much.
The Samsung SM-G780F surfaced on Geekbench, and based on the past info, this is the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is supposed to be a “lite” version of the Galaxy S20.
This phone will still have a lot to offer, though, and it will probably be considerably more affordable than the Galaxy S20. As you can see, it will still ship with a flagship-grade processor, amongst other things.
The Exynos Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be a Snapdragon 865 alternative
This listing confirms that the device will be fueled by the Exynos 990. That chip will be included in India and Europe. The US and China will get the Snapdragon 865.
This listing also says that the device will include 8GB of RAM. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, as expected, and on top of it, you’ll get Samsung’s One UI skin.
The Exynos variant of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition managed to hit 924 points in a single-core test on Geekbench. It scored 2,716 points in the multi-core test.
The phone surfaced on Geekbench today, actually, so this listing is brand new. That is all the information shared by the site. The device is expected to arrive later this year, probably in the Fall.
This is not the first time the device surfaced, though. We’ve seen several leaks and rumors of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, so we know what to expect, pretty much.
Previous rumors suggested that the device will feature a flat AMOLED display. That display will feature a display camera hole, and that hole will be centered, as on the Galaxy S20 series.
This handset is said to include a 120Hz display
Interestingly enough, the rumors are claiming this phone will also include a 120Hz display. That means it could ship with the same panel as the Galaxy S20, or a fullHD+ variant of it.
A 4,500mAh battery was also mentioned, and fast charging will be included. We’re just not sure if fast wireless charging will also be a part of the package, but it probably will.
The device will feature a 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide unit, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. It will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance as well.
The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is rumored to arrive in four color variants. The device will become official in Green, Orange, Red, and white color options.
