Flip up camera setup makes a return with the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro, making the phone kind of unique, and also one of the best phones to take selfies with.
The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro launched alongside its sibling, the ZenFone 7, quite recently. We’ve decided to hand the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro one of our Best of IFA 2020 awards for several reasons, but mainly its uniqueness. The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro comes with a flip up camera, just like its predecessor. It comes with the world’s first triple flip up camera. That makes it completely unique in the smartphone space, a breath of fresh air, if you will.
The phone’s flip up camera does stand out, and we’ll talk more about it soon. This is not the only great thing about this phone, though. The device comes with Qualcomm’s most powerful processor, while the rest of its specifications are good as well. Despite that, its price tag is not too high, the device is actually much more affordable than most mainstream flagships. All that, mixed with its sleek design, makes this phone deserving of this award, that’s for sure.
The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro flip up camera module has two major positives, and only one negative
Including moving parts in a smartphone may not seem like a great idea. That is one major negative when it comes to the flip up camera setup on the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro. If you can live with it, and trust ASUS it did a great job with this camera module, there are a lot of positives you should be paying attention to.
The first one is… the fact it allowed the company to offer a full screen design without obstructions. The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro does not include a display camera hole, nor a display notch. It allows you to take full advantage of the phone’s gorgeous display. Bezels are even smaller than they were on the ASUS ZenFone 6, and the phone looks great because of it.
The second major positive is… the fact you can take amazing selfies with this phone. When you’re ready to take a selfie, all three cameras will flip up towards you, and you’ll be able to take advantage of everything this phone has to offer in the camera department. The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro may not be the best camera smartphone in the world, but it may just be the phone that can take the best selfies around.
The phone is also quite powerful, and it looks extremely nice
The ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro is made out of metal and glass. The phone looks quite sleek, and modern. It doesn’t have a display notch, nor hole, and its bezels are quite thin. Its display is flat, which is something many people will appreciate, while the phone’s back doesn’t look bad either. ASUS improved the design of this handset quite a bit compared to its predecessor, the ASUS ZenFone 6.
The phone is also quite powerful. It is fueled by the most powerful processor Qualcomm has to offer, the Snapdragon 865 Plus, and it supports 5G connectivity. That’s not all, though, not even close. The phone also sports a large AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and plenty of really fast RAM and storage. A large battery is a part of the package, same as on its predecessor, while ASUS made sure fast charging is also available. There’s very little not to like about the ASUS ZenFone 7 Pro, which is why we’ve decided to award it.
