HMD Global, the company behind the new Nokia smartphones, is expected to launch two new smartphones at IFA 2020. Based on the leaks, the company might unveil the Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4 budget smartphones. Ahead of its official launch, the leaked press render reveals the first look of the upcoming Nokia 2.4 smartphone.

The purported render of the Cyan Green Nokia 2.4 comes from the famed leakster Evan Blass. Compared to Nokia 2.3, the new Nokia 2.4 does not differ much in terms of the design. Nokia seems to follow its conventional look with the polycarbonate back and rounded corners.

However, the new Nokia 2.4 now comes with a circular fingerprint scanner placed on the rear. Also, the textured design on the rear of the device is now slightly angled. As seen on the Nokia 2.3, the company should also opt for an aluminum chassis for the Nokia 2.4.

It comes with a waterdrop notch display on the front and sports Nokia branding on the bottom bezel. Nokia will likely stick with the same HD+ IPS LCD panel. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.

There is also a dedicated hardware button for Google Assistant on the left edge. Like the other Nokia smartphone, this new budget smartphone will also come in single SIM and dual SIM variants. Unlike the quad-core Helio A22 chipset from its predecessor, we should be expecting at least an octa-core chipset even for a budget smartphone in 2020.

As per the leaks, the device will be available in two storage configurations. The base variant of the Nokia 2.4 packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Also, there is a 3GB RAM variant with a doubled internal storage of 64GB. Speaking of the cameras, there is a dual-camera setup with an LED flash on the rear.

Expected to launch at IFA 2020

These should be a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the device will come equipped with a 5MP sensor. The certification listings confirmed the device to be running on Android 10 out of the box. Obviously, it should also be part of the Android One family.

With Android One, the smartphones are guaranteed to receive at least two major OS updates and three years of monthly security patches. The Nokia 2.4 comes with the model number TA-1270 and is manufactured in China. Both the Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4 will reportedly launch at IFA 2020, kicking off from September 3 in Berlin.
