The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE got announced today, and in this article, we’ll take a closer look at its specifications. We’ve already covered the phone’s initial launch, in case you’d like to check that out.
The Galaxy S20 FE actually has pretty compelling specs. This is a flagship-grade smartphone. It is not the company’s most powerful device, but it’s not far from it either. Think of it as a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series devices, with a flat display.

The phone is made out of metal and plastic, it features a single display camera hole, and thin bezels. It sports a 6.5-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. That is a 120Hz display, which is HDR10+ certified.
The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 865 64-bit octa-core processor, and it includes 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device is also equipped with 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB).
A 4,500mAh battery is also included in the package, and it does support fast charging. When it comes to wired charging, the device is compatible with AFC and Quick Charge 2.0. It supports wireless charging as well (Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 USB PD 3.0 certified). Wireless PowerShare is also supported, by the way.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device, along with Samsung One UI 2.5 skin. 5G is supported here (both Sub6 and mmWave), while the phone offers Bluetooth 5.0 support. An NFC chip is included.
The device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while it comes with stereo speakers. Both its speakers and the audio side of things, in general, is tuned by AKG, by the way.
The device has four cameras in total
The phone sports three cameras on the back. A 12-megapixel main camera comes with a wide-angle lens, and it’s basically the same sensor as on the Galaxy S20 and S20+. It does offer OIS, an f/1.8 aperture lens, and 1.8um pixel size.
A 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera has an f/2.2 aperture lens, 123-degree FoV, and 1.12um pixel size. The last camera on the back is an 8-megapixel telephoto unit with an f/2.4 aperture lens, 32-degree FoV, OIS, and 1.0um pixel size. 3x optical zoom is supported here, as is 30x Super Resolution Zoom.
A single 32-megapixel camera sits on the phone’s front side. That camera has an f/2.2 aperture lens, and 0.8um pixel size. The Galaxy S20 FE features an in-display fingerprint scanner, an optical one. A USB Type-C port is included at the bottom of the device, next to the phone’s main speaker.
This smartphone measures 159.8 x 74.5 x 8.4mm, and it weighs 190 grams. The device comes in six color options, Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White.
