ASUS announced the ROG Phone 3 earlier this year but it was never officially launched in the US, and there was no US price point announced.
While you could simply convert the price of the ROG Phone 3 from other regions into USD, this wouldn’t be an exact amount. Today though ASUS has laid out how much the device will cost. And surprise, it isn’t cheap.
The ROG Phone 3 is ASUS’ third-gen gaming phone. It comes with a Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform, up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage, and a 144Hz display. Not to mention it supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6. So it was always expected to be a little bit pricey.
The ROG Phone 3 will start at $999 in the US
In the US ASUS has two versions of the phone that you can pick up.
The price of the ROG Phone 3 starts at $999 and this is for the 12GB RAM model. This also comes with 512GB of storage, a 6.59-inch FHD+ display, a 6,000mAh-capacity battery, and dual nano SIM slots.
If you want the 16GB RAM model then the price jumps up to $1,099. This is a bit more than the costs of the ROG Phone II. Though not too far off and really, considering the bump up in specs, ASUS could have potentially charged more.
This is of course not even considering the prices of any of the next-gen accessories that ASUS launched alongside the phones. And there are more than a couple of them.
The ROG Kunai Gamepad 3 for instance is $149.99. Meanwhile the ASUS ROG Clip is $39.99, the Lighting Armor Case is $59.99. ASUS has also officially announced the prices for the TwinView Dock 3, Antibacterial Screen Protector, Professional Dock, and Mobile Desktop Dock.
Which are $329.99, $36.99, $89.99, $ and $229.99 respectively.
You can’t technically buy it yet
ASUS says that the phone is already available for sale in the US starting today. But you can’t technically buy it yet.
The listings are live however from both Amazon and B&H Photo for the 16GB model, you just can’t put them in your cart at the moment. You will be able to purchase it sooner rather than later. ASUS is also selling the phone on its own US store. Though the listings for it are not yet live there at the time of writing.
None of the accessories seem to be available right now either. That being said, it probably won’t be too long before both the phones and the accessories are in the hands of US consumers.
