If you’re serious about your fitness and you want a wearable that compliments that, consider the Polar Vantage V2. The new multisport watch from Polar is designed with a few upgrades that doesn’t take away from the stuff that made the original Vantage such a great device.

The key component here is the watch’s ability to help you optimize your workouts. This way you’re getting the most efficient results and aren’t wasting your exercise time.

That results in you having more time to rest and do anything else after you’re done. The Polar Vantage V2 isn’t cheap though. While not as expensive as some multisport watches, it’s more than your run of the mill smartwatch.

The Polar Vantage V2 retails for $499

Sometimes multisport watches are expensive if you want something good quality with a ton of useful features.

That’s the case here, and if you’ve made your peace with spending a larger dollar amount, you can grab the Vantage V2 for $499. It’s available in three different colors, including Black and Black, Silver and Gray-Lime, and Black and Green.

The first color mentioned of every option is the color of the watch case. While the second color listed is what you’ll see on the straps that come in the box.

Nothing too outlandish in terms of colorways, so each color should fit for pretty much everyone. The Vantage V2 also comes in two different size options – a medium/large, and small. That being said the sizes only refer to the length of the band. The watch case stays the same size whether you go with the medium/large option or the small option.

New features for runners and cyclists

A lot of the same stuff from earlier Vantage watches is on the Vantage V2. But it wouldn’t be an updated version if there wasn’t anything new at all.

This time around, two of the new things on offer are new features for runners and cyclists. Specifically, the watch now has performance tests for each that are meant to help you keep track of your progress and get more personalized heart rate readings.

In addition to these new features, the Vantage V2 has a pretty good design that’s modern yet also not loud or flashy. It weighs just 52 grams so it shouldn’t feel too heavy when you wear it, plus the battery life is up to 40 hours on a single charge. This is also in training mode.

If you want a longer battery life you can switch the Vantage V2 over to watch mode and it should last for up to a week. The Vantage V2 is available for pre-order now directly from Polar’s website.
