OnePlus has started rolling out yet another stable update for the OnePlus 8T, and this one brings camera improvements as well. That’s not all, though, as there are quite a few entries in the changelog.

The update is marked as ‘OxygenOS 11.0.5.6’, and it comes in variants for India, Europe, and North America. A version for India started rolling out first, while Europe and North America will follow.

The OnePlus 8T gets new camera improvements, mainly focused on white balance

First and foremost, let’s talk about the camera. OnePlus notes that this update will “optimize camera white balance”, and improve image quality in general. So, it seems like the company has once again made some changes in the software.

The fingerprint-scanning experience has also been improved, as the success rate for registering fingerprints has been increased. The media file scanning feature has been optimized as well, for later searching.

Power consumption improvements also took place

This update will also further improve the battery life on the device, as the system power consumption has been optimized. The issue regarding the app cache has also been fixed, as on occasions it didn’t get deleted properly after you uninstall an app.

For some users, the screen tended to flash when using fingerprint unlock. Well, that shouldn’t be the case anymore. System performance has been optimized, and the OS should also be more stable now.

Now, regarding the ‘Network’ section. The network connection stability has been optimized, and the gaming experience (over the network) has been improved. The stability of video calls has also been boosted.

That’s basically everything OnePlus listed. Do note that this update will roll out in stages. Using a VPN won’t help, as you’ll get it when you get it. All users should have it within a week or so, though.
