Yesterday, we saw something unusual as Verizon Galaxy S20 beat every other variant of the device, even unlocked ones in other regions in rolling out the Android 11 stable update.

The good thing is that the unlocked variant did not take long to get it as well. Because as per a new report by SamMobile, the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S20 series devices are now receiving the stable Android 11 One UI 3.0 update.

Note that there is no official announcement made by Samsung regarding the rollout of the One UI 3.0 stable update. However, the update seems to be live for the Galaxy S20 users across Europe.

As per the source, a handful of European countries have started picking up the stable One UI 3.0 update. One thing this confirms is that the public rollout is now underway. Meaning that more regions will join the bandwagon soon.

To give you some specific details, a handful of European countries include Germany, France, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the Nordic region.

The firmware update, as already highlighted, brings all the latest and greatest features of Samsung’s custom skin, the One UI 3.0 along with Android 11.

Notably, the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update arrives with build number CTKG. It bundles the latest December 2020 security patch. This is expected from Samsung, considering its tradition of rolling out timely security patches.

The Galaxy S20 series, i.e. the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra was the first in line, as mentioned in the Android 11 schedule released by Samsung to receive the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update this month.

Samsung has packed some new features with its One UI 3.0 skin. This includes a new Quick Settings toggle, notification bubbles, redesigned volume controls, revamped home screen design, new icons, video enhancer, improve privacy and security controls, and much more.

Its been a few months since the Galaxy S20 series phones underwent the Android 11 One UI 3.0 beta program. In fact, Samsung has pushed at least 7-8 beta updates before rolling out this stable Android 11 update.

The update is arriving via OTA in batches. So, you will have to wait before the update hits every Galaxy S20 series phones.

You can manually check for the update by heading over to “Settings.” Then navigate to “System updates.” From there, tap the “Download and install” option.

If a new update is available, then you can proceed with downloading and installation of the update on your phone. It is possible that the update won’t be available straight away. So, you may need to wait for the rollout to expand to more regions.
