The 5G variant of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, the clamshell phone from the company, is now receiving the Android 11 One UI 3.0 stable update.

Notably, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G is the most powerful foldable or, specifically, a clamshell phone that we have in the market right now. The phone came with Android 10 One UI 2.0 out of the box.

Moreover, as per the official Android 11 One UI 3.0 update roadmap, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G was supposed to pick up the stable update in January 2021.

However, seeing the update already live for the device will come as a surprise and a holiday treat for the owners. The update packs a plethora of features of both the Android 11 and One UI 3.0.

The 5G variant, i.e. the Galaxy Z Flip 5G (model number SM-F707B) is currently grabbing the stable Android 11 update with build number CTL6.

On top of all the features, this new update also bumps the security patch level to the latest December 2020. Sadly, the full changelog is not available at the time of writing this post.

Talking about the changes that this new Android 11 One UI 3.0 update brings, apart from all the user interface changes, and the stock Android 11 changes, this update also includes features of Samsung One UI 3.0.

Galaxy Z Flip 5G is receiving the One UI 3.0 update currently in Switzerland

One UI 3.0 bundle features like Quick Settings toggle, notification bubbles, redesigned volume controls, revamped home screen design, new icons, video enhancer, improved privacy and security controls, and much more.

The update is currently live for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G users in Switzerland. But we expect the rollout to expand to more regions in the coming days.

Apparently, the update is live for the AUT region. If you are in that region and have not yet received the Android 11 One UI 3.0 stable update on your Galaxy Z Flip 5G, then you can manually check for it.

To do that, you need to head over to “Settings.” Then navigate to “System updates.” From there, tap the “Download and install” option.

If a new update is available, then you can proceed with downloading and installation of the update on your phone. It is possible that the update won’t be available straight away. So, you may need to wait for the rollout to expand for more users.
