While there is no shortage of big home projectors, ASUS has taken a different route and introduced a small ZenBeam Latte projector. Yes, the name “Latte” reminds you of coffee but the ASUS ZenBeam Latte projector dispenses movies and entertainment.
The main of introducing this easy-to-carry design is to let users carry this entertainment machine wherever they go. It requires flexing some muscles to carry those big projectors around from one place to another.
ASUS ZenBeam Latte projector has a coffee cup-like design (hence the name “Latte”), the body is covered in fabric, and is lightweight and highly portable.
One of the important aspects of buying this new ASUS ZenBeam Latte projector is its form factor. You can place it anywhere in your house, etc. without it being an eyesore.
The design of this projector also helps in improved sound transmission. And the Harman Kardon-powered 10W Bluetooth speaker also provides a great sound experience.
Moreover, as per a report by The Verge, ASUS claims that the ASUS ZenBeam Latte projector is “the first projector to offer a fabric exterior.” Which is not true for a fact.
ASUS ZenBeam Latte projector has a projection range of 40 to 120 inches
Talking about the specs of this new portable projector, it is not the most powerful projector out there. It has a projection range of 40 to 120 inches. Apparently, you need to place the projector around 1 meter from the wall to get the 40 inches projection.
Whereas, you may need to keep the projector around 3 meters away from the wall to get the maximum 120 inches projection. ZenBeam Latte provides a peak brightness of 300-LED-lumens. Which, frankly, is not that bright.
According to an official ASUS press release, the design of the ZenBeam Latte L1 projector has recognized with a CES 2021 Innovation Award, a Good Design Award 2020, and a Taiwan Excellence Award 2021.
The battery on the projector provides up to 3 hours of playback when projecting video content. While it provides 12 hours of playback when using it as a Bluetooth speaker.
The ASUS ZenBeam Latte has the Aptoide TV store which gives the user access to apps, games, using which you can wirelessly mirror your phone screen to play your content.
ASUS will bring this new ZenBeam projector to North America in Q2 of 2021. As far as the price is concerned, ASUS has not mentioned it yet.
Taking into consideration the size and features of this new projector from ASUS, we assume that it will be priced around $250, and will be available to other regions soon.
