Samsung has now officially lifted the curtain on its latest device, the Galaxy S21 series, and as you might have expected availability of the new phone isn’t too far behind the announcement.
As part of its Unpacked 2021 event, Samsung has confirmed that availability of the Galaxy S21 will begin at the end of January. Which is just around two weeks away.
Specifically, the phone will launch on January 29 in the US and other regions. But, if you really want to be at the front of the line and get the phone as early as you can, pre-orders will begin tomorrow, January 15, at 12AM EST. Which means if you live on the West coast, you can pre-order the phone around 9PM PST from your favorite retailers.
Samsung Galaxy S21 availability will be open at every major retailer
So you know when the phone will be available but what about where? These days, larger phones like Samsung’s Galaxy S series devices are available just about anywhere.
As one of the most popular smartphones globally, you’d probably find it more challenging to come across a retailer that doesn’t carry it than those that do.
There will be three different variations of the Galaxy S21 to choose from. The Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. As for where to get them, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Amazon, and probably places like Walmart and Target will have the phone for sale.
You can also buy the phone directly from Samsung if you prefer. And If you get it from Samsung you can choose to buy a model that’s locked to a carrier of your choice, or to get the unlocked model.
Which is probably the best choice if you want the freedom of keeping the phone should you ever choose to move to a new carrier.
Prices will start at $799
It’s worth keeping in mind that prices are going to fluctuate, even as these phones are brand-new and even from the moment that pre-orders go live.
While the base price of the base model Galaxy S21 will start at $799, some retailers are going to have deals on the cost as incentives. For example, Samsung is customers who pre-order the device $200 in Samsung credit.
That being said the full retail prices are as follows. The Galaxy S21 will retail for $799. The Galaxy S21+ will retail for $999. And finally the Galaxy S21 Ultra will retail for $1,299.
