Almost ten days back, Samsung started pushing the Android 11 One UI 3.1 stable update for the Galaxy S20 FE. Now, as per Sammobile, One UI 3.1 update is once again rolling out for the device.

Notably, the update is seeding for select variants of the budget flagship of 2020. Another important thing to note is that Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G was the first device from Samsung that transitioned to One UI 3.1.

Now you might wonder why Samsung is treating the Galaxy S20 FE owners with yet another Android 11 One UI 3.1 update? Well, the original update was pulled back due to some technical issues.

This is the reason the Korean OEM is pushing another One UI 3.1 stable update for the Galaxy S20 FE. In fact, the update is the same as the previous one.

It arrives with software version G781BXXU2CUB5 and is a bit hefty. It weighs around 1.7GB in size. So, we would advise Galaxy S20 FE owners to make sure to have sufficient battery and to download the update on a stable Wi-Fi connection.

The update is rolling out specifically for the 5G-ready version of the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G781B)

The update will keep the security patch level to February 2021 and keeps all the stock Android 11 as well as One UI 3.1 features intact. However, it definitely brings fixes for the bugs or glitches present in the previous update.

From the above-mentioned software version, it is clear that the update is live only for the 5G-ready version of the Galaxy S20 FE. So, make sure your device model is SM-G781B, before complaining of not receiving the update.

Its LTE model (SM-G780F) will surely follow soon. As usual, Samsung has pushed the update via OTA in batches. Meaning that it will take some time before hitting all the 5G variants of the Galaxy S20 FE.

If your device has detected the update, then you can tap on the update and install it on your device. However, if the system does not detect the update, you can manually trigger it.

For that, head over to Settings. Then you can head over to navigate to “System updates.” From there, tap the “Download and install” option. You can proceed with downloading and installation of the update if a new update is available.

Note that this second One UI 3.1 update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is currently rolling out to users in Central Europe. We expect the update to spread over to other regions in the coming days.
