Good news for the owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Exynos 2100 version. Because the latest battery drain test performed by YouTube channel PBKReviews reveals that the Exynos 2100 version is better than the Snapdragon 888 variant.

Over the years, Samsung’s Exynos chipset has been bashed by users and tech reviewers for its poor performance over the Snapdragon chipset.

Samsung users in regions where the Exynos variant is sold had a complaint that even after the paying same amount, they were getting underpowered phones as compared to regions where the Snapdragon variant was sold.

The Korean giant finally understood the severity of this issue and finally made the necessary tweaks with the Exynos 2100. It was long speculated that Exynos 2100 variant will beat the Snapdragon 888 variant in some department, or at least be at par with it.

Now, the battery drain test also lands in favor of the Exynos 2100 version of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. This would give the users of the Exynos 2100 Galaxy S21 Ultra a huge sigh of relief.

Galaxy S21 Ultra battery drain test exhibition lasted for 30 minutes

The test was carried on for 30 minutes. During the observation period, the brightness levels on both the variants of the Galaxy S21 Ultra was pushed all the way to max settings.

Moreover, the adaptive brightness option was disabled along with some other battery saving functionalities of the phone. You can see the experiment in the complete video attached below.

At the end of the experiment, we can clearly see that the Galaxy S21 Ultra Exynos 2100 variant emerging as the winner. It easily beat the SD888 variant by a noticeable margin.

To be specific, approximately 89% battery was left on the Exynos 2100 variant. While the SD888 variant of the Galaxy S21 Ultra finished at 87%, i.e. two percent below.

Though it may not be that significant, it can become prominent in the long run. Further, the SD888 variant Galaxy S21 Ultra got heated up to 42.7°C by the end of this battery drain test.

Notably, this was 2.4°C (36°F) hotter than the Exynos 2100-powered Galaxy S21 Ultra. Again, not a big difference, but it is what it is. Overall, the test seems legit.

Besides, it should be noted that Samsung has done some tremendous work on the Exynos 2100 chipset in various departments. It is not at par in performance with the Snapdragon 888 variant.

Now, the latest battery drain test reveals that the Exynos 2100 is better at handling harsh brightness situations. Whereas the Galaxy S21 Ultra Snapdragon 888 variant lags a bit.
