Samsung is doing great when it comes to delivering the latest firmware or security updates lately. The company has just started rolling out the April 2021 security update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US. Notably, it is live for the carrier-locked models.

As noted by SamMobile, the new April 2021 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G appeared on T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, Xfinity Mobile’s network.

So, if you own the above-mentioned carrier-locked model of Galaxy Z Flip 5G, then you should be receiving the latest security patch on your smartphone.

Being an incremental security patch, there is not much that you can expect new features out of it. It simply bumps the security patch level on your phone to April 1, 2021.

April 2021 security patch for Galaxy Z Flip 5G is identified by build version F707U1UEU1CUC6

The security update arrives with build version F707U1UEU1CUC6. As already mentioned, it is live for carrier-locked units under model number SM-F707U1 of Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

Although there aren’t any new features accompanying this update, it does bring a bunch of fixes for severe vulnerabilities. For more information on that, you can head over to the official Samsung Security Bulletin for the month of April.

Other details, i.e. the size of the update and the official changelog of the update are not known yet. But we expect it to improve system stability and performance just like other Samsung updates.

Similar to other updates, this new Galaxy Z Flip 5G April security update is arriving via OTA in batches for the carrier-locked models in the US.

If you are lucky, then you should have received an update notification on your phone. Note that the update will be hitting the devices gradually.

Meaning, not everyone will receive the update at the same time. The good thing is you can also manually check for the update on your phone.

To manually check for the update, you need to go to Settings. Then tap on System updates. Finally, tap the Download and install option.

If a new update is available for your device, then the updater will detect the update and notify you. Simply, you can tap on the update notification to download the update.
