The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE may have been delayed but that isn’t stopping new leaks from coming. Earlier this week, a certification listing revealed most of its key specs. Now, we have 360-degree renders of the phone in all four colors – white, light green, light violet, and gray/black.
The renders, shared by noted leaker Evan Blass on Twitter, reiterate what has been shown in numerous leaks in the past. The Galaxy S21 FE will feature a similar design language as the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ with a Contour Cut camera, i.e. the camera housing blends seamlessly with the phone’s frame. The LED flash sits outside the camera island.
Talking about cameras, the Galaxy S21 FE gets three of them at the back. The detailed specifications of the three sensors are unknown though. Time will tell whether or not it will retain the camera array from the Galaxy S21 or the S21+. Both these devices house a 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens.
The Galaxy S21 FE looks classy from the front as well, with minimal bezels around the display and a tiny punch hole at the center for the selfie camera. It is said to be a 32-megapixel sensor. The Galaxy S20 FE also featured a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It now remains to be seen if it’s the same sensor or a newer and upgraded version of it.
Galaxy S21 FE rumored specs
Leaks in the past have also revealed several other key specs of the Galaxy S21 FE. We are looking at a Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 processor depending on the market, with up to 256GB of storage. Samsung could offer up to 8GB of RAM as well. The device will likely feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
A 4,500mAh battery is expected to power this phone, the same as the Galaxy S20 FE. However, certification listings suggest it will get a much higher charging speed than its predecessor, or the rest of the Galaxy S21 lineup for that matter. Samsung could offer 45W of fast wired charging with the Galaxy S21 FE. All recent Galaxy flagships only support 25W charging speeds at max. Don’t be hopeful of getting a 45W charger in the box. The device might ship with a 15W or 25W charging adapter.
Other key features include an in-display fingerprint reader, IP68 rating, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and Android 11-based One UI 3.x software. You can check out our Galaxy S21 FE Preview for more information.
With launch delayed to Q4 2021 due to the chip shortage problem, there’s still plenty of time to go before the device becomes official. You can expect to see several more Galaxy S21 FE leaks in the interim.
