The latest addition to T-Mobile’s REVVL smartphone family is the REVVL V+ 5G. It is a $199-priced ultra-cheap 5G smartphone that will be available from both T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile later this month. But the device has a lot going for it besides 5G connectivity.
REVVL V+ 5G specifications
The REVVL V+ 5G sports a big 6.82-inch HD+ LCD screen with a V-shaped notch. The device packs MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It is an octa-core processor with two performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six power-efficient cores operating at 2.0GHz. This chipset supports 5G connectivity, of course. However, keep in mind that it’s the widely available sub-6GHz 5G network and not the ultra-fast mmWave, which is very spotty.
On the back of this phone is a vertically aligned triple camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary camera, along with 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel secondary cameras. The rectangular camera bump also houses an LED flash in the same vertical alignment. There’s another 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. T-Mobile is offering features like Night Mode, Live Focus, and more with the phone.
The new REVVL phone packs a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 18W speeds over a USB Type-C port. The box will come with a charging adapter and a USB Type-C cable included. Other highlights include Android 11, face-unlock support, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device comes in a single Nebula Black color.
Quite clearly, the REVVL V+ 5G has a lot to offer for its price. If you recall, OnePlus recently launched the Nord N200 5G for $239 ($216 if you buy from T-Mobile). The new REVVL phone now undercuts it. Of course, the OnePlus phone has a slight upper hand in some areas like display, where it offers a Full HD+ panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, if you’re on a budget, the REVVL V+ 5G packs a solid punch as well.

The phone will go on sale starting July 12
The REVVL V+ 5G will be available for purchase in Metro stores starting on July 12. You can also buy it from T-Mobile through both online and offline stores starting on July 23. The full retail price is $199.99 but if you’re a T-Mobile customer, you can get it for $8.34/month over 24 months.
