Here we go again. For the nth time, Samsung has released a new Android security patch ahead of everyone else, and much before the new month has even started. Like last month, the Galaxy S21 series is picking up the November 2021 security update first. The rollout has begun in Germany but should soon reach users in other regions as well.

According to SamMobile, who first reported this rollout, the latest update for the Galaxy S21 series comes with the firmware version G99xBXXS3AUJ7. We don’t have a changelog handy to confirm this, but the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra are unlikely to be getting any new features with this update. Samsung would now be keeping everything for the Android 12-based One UI 4.0, which should arrive soon.

The Korean firm is hard at work on bringing the latest iteration of the Android OS to its devices. It released the third One UI 4.0 beta build for the Galaxy S21 series last week. Looking at this pace, a stable update for the latest Galaxy conventional flagships could arrive as early as next month. Other flagship models, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 foldables, as well as eligible low-cost models, will follow in subsequent months.

Coming to the contents of the new security update, it’s a mystery as well. Of course, it will bring dozens of vulnerability fixes from both Google and Samsung. But we are still more than a week away from the Korean firm publishing the updated security bulletin detailing the contents of the November SMR (security maintenance release). Don’t be surprised if the company pushes the new SMR to a few more Galaxy devices ahead of that. We will keep you updated.

Samsung releases the November security update to the Galaxy S21 series

Samsung has consistently released a new security update before every other Android OEM for several months now. It appears the company has made a habit of it. Continuing that tradition, the company has now released the November security update to the Galaxy S21 series.

If you’re rocking any of the Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra, you can be on the lookout for the new update in the coming days. Users in Germany will receive the update first. However, it’s now only a matter of time before the rollout expands to other countries. As for updating the device goes, you know the drill. Simply navigate to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install on your phone to see if you have any OTA (over the air) updates pending download.
